Serra Automotive Inc. announced Monday that it plans to buy Superior Pontiac Cadillac in Flint, a dealership dating back to 1949.
Joe Serra, president of Serra Automotive, a parent company of several auto dealerships, said that on June 30, the Cadillac and Pontiac brands will become part of the Al Serra Auto Plaza on S. Saginaw Road. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Cadillac will move into the Hummer showroom, which will be renamed Al Serra Cadillac-Hummer, while Pontiac will be housed in the current Buick-GMC area and become Al Serra Buick-Pontiac-GMC. Serra said he plans to sell Superior's location on S. Dort Highway at I-69. (Read More...)
FLINT (WJRT) -- (06/10/08)--After nearly 60 years in the Flint community, a local car dealership is closing its doors.
Superior Pontiac-Cadillac will soon become part of the Serra Automotive Group.
By the end of the month, the car lot at the corner of Dort Highway and I-69 will be empty. That's because all of the Cadillac and Pontiac operations are moving to Grand Blanc.

Serra group to buy another dealership
Serra Automotive, the nation’s 16th largest privately-held automotive group, announced plans today to purchase Genesee County-based dealership Superior Pontiac-Cadillac, effective June 30.
Once the sale has been finalized, both Cadillac and Pontiac brands will be available at Serra Automotive’s flagship location, the Al Serra Auto Plaza, located on South Saginaw in Grand Blanc.
